This 9-day short trek is especially for those people who love hiking and see the snow-capped mountain range. Trekking in the Langtang region provides opportunities to experience Tibetan-Buddhism infused Tamang culture and explore the flora and faunas.

Nobody ever thought at the time that this town would come to life again. These long lines of kings and the confluence of Hinduism and Buddhism has left behind a rich heritage of arts, sculptures, and monuments across the three cities of Kathmandu. And this will be the town that will host you before we head out for the main rendezvous in neighboring Rasuwa.

Heading for Syabrubesi (1550m/5100ft) 145km, 6 hrs.

Today we will drive through the mountain trail to Syabrubesi- a timing town in Rasuwa district, north of Kathmandu. The six-hours drive provides a window into diverse Nepali lifestyles and the abundance of its natural beauty. On our way we will pass through the Langtang National Park– one of the first Himalayan national parks of the country that is home to Musk deer, Wolf, Red panda, Cheer pheasant, Danphe among others.

Hitting the Trail with the trek to Lama Hotel (2410m/7832ft) 6 hrs.

Lama Hotel is a scenic spot that has several tea houses. The place provides splendid scenic views of the Langtang valley. The trail passes through Bhote Koshi the riffs of the Bhote Koshi River and the Langtang Khola. Passing through the dense forests and after crossing several suspension bridges, the trail opens into the gradual climb to Bamboo. Just like the Lama Hotel, Bamboo is also scenic spot that has some of the best tea houses in the Langtang region. Post lunch we will trek from here to our final destination for the day- Lama Hotel,  a steep ascent of around 450 meters through dense forest.

Reaching the Heart of Langtang Region: Langtang Village (3430m/11250ft) 6 hours.

Today we will head out to Langtang Village – a village which until it perished under the earthquake on April 15, 2015 earthquake was one of the oldest settlement in the Langtang region. The village has now resurrected through relentless efforts of its residents and assistance from all over the world. To reach here from Lama Hotel is around 6-hours trek through dense alpine forests of the Langtang region.  After ascending for over six hundred meters ascend we will reach to Ghoda Tabela- a place that opens up more to the Langtang Himalayan Range including the Mt. Langtang Lirung and green valley with many waterfalls. On the way, traditional water flour mills, Buddhist prayer wheels, chortens, sacred mounds of rocks with Buddist sacred inscriptions carved are a common sight. Overnight in Langtang Village.

Trek to Kyanjin Gumba (2845m/12611ft) 3 hours.

Kyanjin Gompa, situated at the 2845 m, acts like a base for several short one day treks to surrounding peaks. Situated at relatively lesser altitude, it provides the splendid view of the Langtang valley. Our ascend will be slow today – mostly to avoid being struck by altitude sickness. On the way we will pass through vast stretches of Yak pastures, Mani Walls, made from stone with prayers written on them leading into the Kyanjin valley – that in the spring season is full of flowers and grasses. And there is a surprise here – The Dorje Bakery Cafe & Coffee Center which produces Yak cheese and some great infused Himalayan bakery delicacies. Overnight in a Kyanjin teahouse.

Early morning hike to Kyanjin Ri (4773m/15655ft).

Kyanjin Ri  (4773) is the highest point for trekkers along the Langtang trail. It offers great view unto Tibet and the splendid Langtang Range. For ensuring that you get a cloudless view, we will head for the point early in the morning. Heading on early is important to avoid slippery slopes on the way. We will be aiming to make most of our journey before the snow and frost on the way starts to melt. On our return, we will start our return journey and head for today’s rest: Ghoda Tabela.

Tracing steps back to Syabrubensi.

After snacks at Ghoda Tabela we will head for the final leg of our trek in the Langtang region. We will pass through the trail and figure out that we had missed so much of it on our ascent. As the climate is more warm and humid, endorphins kick in and you will find that we are perfectly in tune with the charming natural beauty around us. Overnight at Syabrubesi.

Drive Syabrubensi to Kathmandu.

After a walk through the Syabrubensi town, we fold our tour and head out for Kathmandu finding our way through the dusty off-road. In Kathmandu – we join for a farewell dinner enjoying some authentic Nepali cuisines. After five days long trek in Langtang valley, today we drive back to Kathmandu. This takes six hour by private jeep. We end our Adventure with a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.
