If you are climbing peaks up to 6500m, you need to get the permit from NMA. Climbing permits for other peaks have to be obtained from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

The total costs for peak climbing in Nepal depend on the season and the peak you are planning to climb. The cost is usually high during autumn and spring, ranging from US$ 100 to US$200.

During the climb, guides who are specially trained and licensed by the Nepal Mountaineering Association will assist you.    

The best time for peak climbing is spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). The weather is clear and favorable for climbing during these months and you don’t need to worry about sudden snowfall or other harsh weather conditions.
