Namobuddha tour is a popular holy destination in Nepal for Buddhist situated in tiny hilltop in about 45 km east of Kathmandu crossing Dhulikhel. The place is dedicated to a young prince who is believed to be a great sacrifier the one who gave his own flesh and blood to a hungry tigress and her cubs. The prince was named Mahasattva and was also accepted as a truth being considered as an incarnation of Shakyamuni Buddha. On his way passing through a forest with his brothers, he encountered Tigress and her cubs that seemed to be unaided and almost dying because of hunger. Prince then scrutinizing the pitiable situation couldn’t wait to help Tigress family decided to offer him returning back where they were lying. While exploring the forest in search of Mahasattva, his brothers just find his bones and hair. Later, in the memory of young prince, they built Stupa on his remaining which later became very popular among Buddhist and Hindus Knowing it as NamoBuddha.
