Short itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1320m/ 4329ft)

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu city

Day 3: Flight to Lukla (2800m/9184ft) and hike to Phakding 2-3 hours walk (2655m/ 8708ft)

Day 4: Trek to Namche bazaar 5-6 hours (3440m/11284ft)

Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche (3440m/11284ft)

Day 6: Trek to Dole 6 hours. (4110m/13584ft)

Day 7: Trek to Mochhermo 4 hours, (4470m/14661ft).

Day 8: Trek Mochhermo to Gokyo valley 4-5 hours, (4470m/14661ft).

Day 9: Early morning hike to Gokyo-ri (5357m/17570ft,) and trek back to Dole 6-7 hours, (4110m/13584ft).

Day 10: Trek to Namche 5 hours, (3340m).

Day 11: Trek to Lukla 4-5 hrs. (2800m/9184ft)

Day 12: Flight back to Kathmandu, free day.

Day 13: Final departure from Nepal.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1320m/ 4329ft)

Soon after your flight lands at Tribhuvan International airport, you will be greeted with warm welcome by GSA representative after you being encountered with Display card s/he will be displaying on your arrival. You will be then transferred to the hotel in our private tourist vehicle.

 Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu city

The capital city is a prime place to view both Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Our city tour will take you to the historic Kathmandu Darbar Square, a UNESCO cultural site. The famous Swayambuunath or “Monkey Temple”, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world.

Day 3: Flight to lukla (2800m/9184ft) and hike to Phakding 2-3 hours walk (2655m/ 8708ft)

We will take a morning flight to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft), where our trek will begin and we can meet ours additional crew members. The views of the high mountain peaks are breathtaking on this 40 minute flight. Today, our trek is short, around 3-4hrs, to allow for acclimatization. In route, we can see Rhododendron, Magnolia trees and pine forest. Passing through several small settlement with prayer wheels, flags Mani stones, tea houses and shop we. Overnight in teahouse (B, L, D)

 Day 4: Trek to Namche bazar 5-6 hours (3440m/11284ft)    

Soon after our breakfast, we start our trek to Namche bazzar. Today’s trek will take us through pine forests, over suspension bridges and into Sagarmatha National Park. The trek is a long, steep climb, but we are rewarded with our first view of Everest! Our destination, Namche Bazar, is a gateway to Mt Everest and the main trading center of this region.  Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche (3440m/11284ft)

In order to allow our bodies to adjust to the altitude, we will take today as an acclimatization day. It is best to keep active, and if we climb higher, it will help us properly acclimatize. We will hike to Everest view pint and beautiful village khumjung or visit Sagarmatha national park headquarter, visitor center where you can get more information about khumbu region and Sherpa people. It’s also the perfect place for panoramic view of Mt Everest, Lotse, Nuptse , one of the beautiful mountain Amadablam and so on as well enjoy plenty of time to explore the town of Namche. Overnight in lodge (B, L, D).

 Day 6: Trek to Dole 6 hours. (4110m/13584ft)

Today we start our journey through the main trail which is shared by both EBC and Gokyo trek, until Kyangjuma. We leave the main trail and climb steeply out of the valley through rhododendron forests, which give way to fragrant stands of juniper and large conifers as the elevation increases. We will continue trek to reach MongLa and below us we see the confluence of Dudh Koshi River and Imja Khola River. Spring is the best time for the flowers lover; it’s the time to blooming rhododendrons. The trail passes many Kharkas, summer settlements used when Sherpas bring herds of yaks to graze in these high pastures. The route passes further north through the settlement of Tongba (3950m) and Gyele (3960m) to Dole where there are few hotels. The views of Khumbila and Tawache (6542m) are incredible throughout the day today. Overnight in teahouse, (B, L, D)

Day 7: Trek to Mochhermo 4 hours, (4470m/14661ft).

The morning to Luza (4360m), will be quit tough and feel short of breath. After rest to catch a breath and see a panoramic view, we continue our journey along the side of the valley. On the way to Machhermo at (4410m), we can enjoy the view of Mt. Cho Oyu, Kantega, and Thamserku and many summer settlements. Overnight in teahouse, (B, L, D).

 Day 8: Trek Mochhermo to Gokyo valley 4-5 hours, (4470m/14661ft).

 We begin the ascent to Gokyo Valley. Along the way we can enjoy excellent views of Cholatse Mt.Cho oyu and the small Sherpa sattlement. We are now in high alpine area and as we approach the Ngozumba Glacier and we trek onto the moraine and rock that extend down from it. We enjoy excellent views of Kantenga to the south and Cho Oyu to the north. Once we have ascended the muzzle of the glacier, the path flattens. We pass the first of the Gokyo lakes, Longpongo, before reaching the second, Taboche Tsho at 4740 m, a larger one where green Brainy ducks are often seen swimming in the freezing waters. As we walk up the valley our path parallels the Ngozumpa Glacier and separating us from the glacier is the massive lateral moraine. Little ahead of the second lake is the third lake, the two linked by a stream. Gokyo village stands by the third lake and Cho-Oyu Mountain as a backdrop sets an amazing spectacular sight at this juncture.  After lunch, we can take time to explore around the third Gokyo Lake, Dudh Pokhari. Overnight in teahouse, (B, L, D).

Day 9: Early morning hike to Gokyo-ri (5357m/17570ft,) and trek back to Dole 6-7 hours, (4110m/13584ft).

Today we hike up to the Gokyo-ri early in the morning, which is an excellent view point in Everest region. The continuous and grueling ascent of Gokyo Ri will take two or more hours, from where we can see Aesthetic view of Himalayan include Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8153 m), Gyangchung Kang (7922m), Lhotse (8501m), Makalu (8475 m), Cholatse (6440m), Taweche (6542m), Kantega (6685m), Thamserku (6808m), Lobuche (6145m) and Mt. Everest (8848m). Hundreds of other unnamed peaks and the beautiful Gokyo Lakes below. After a breathtaking hike to gokyo-ri we will descend down to Dole. Overnight in teahouse, (B, L, D).

Day 10: Trek to Namche 5 hours, (3340m).

Today’s trek is mostly down hills. After a 6 hours trekking, we will reach to the beautiful trade town namcheBazzar. The trail descends to Phunki Thanga and the ascents to ridge Mongla dada. After an hour descent from Mongla we reach a junction where the steep path up from Sanasa meets our track. Winding through several bends we are almost near Namche. Upon coming to Namche army camp hill, we look back to see Lhotse, the tip of Everest and Tengboche for last time. After half an hour’s walk from here we reach Namche. Overnight in Lodge, (B, L, D).

Day 11: Trek to Lukla 4-5 hrs. (2800m/9184ft)

Today our last day of trek at lower altitude is more easy and enjoyable. Most of the track today is flat although we will have some descend and brief ascents too. Today, we enjoy the lush green scenery of rhododendron and pine forests, and in the distant background Kwangde peak. As we walk through the Sherpa villages, we notice impressive display of faith in Buddhism and cultural practices associated with it as prayer stones dot the landscape and prayer flags flap in the wind. We have to cross the 3 suspension bridge over Dhud Koshi River through the prayer flags strewn suspension bridges and also cross one of its tributary, Thado Koshi once. The final ascent of about 45 minutes from Chheplung takes us to Lukla, where we stretch our fatigued legs and recall the experiences of the last couple of weeks.This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity to spend some relaxing moments with whole crew as the porters will not accompany with us to Kathmandu.   Day 12: Flight back to Kathmandu, free day.

After a long memorial journey in Mountain, today we flight back to Kathmandu. We can rest and relax at the hotel. In the afternoon you can spend your time for last minute shopping or explore sights you’ve missed. We end our Adventure with a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu, include (B, D)

  Day 13: Final departure from Nepal.

 Today the journey along the Nepalese Himalayan comes to an end. We will arrange airport transports that are leaving Nepal.
